No connection to "share" aka ssh aka scp on FreeBSD 11

[ Edited ]

Hi folks,

I just upgraded my NAS4free-based Backup-server to the latest and FreeBSD 11-based release.

When trying to (re)configure the FreeBSD-based share (technically spoken AFAIK you only tell VM Explorer the ssh credentials so it can log in and establish a scp-connection to copy the files directly between ESXi and the targed host aka FreeBSD-Server) I created formerly or even new in Trilead Explorer (and that worked like a a charm with NAS4free based on FreeBSD 10.3) I just receive the error:

HPE VM Explorer Backup Agent Error: There was a problem while detecting the OS(Cannot detect OS (Unsupported OS FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE-p5))

Seems like 11.0 is not yet supported or at least not put into the internal "compatibility list" of HPE / Trilead VM Explorer.

Any chance to get it up and running despite downgrading my BSD / NAS4free..?

Thanks in advance, regards

Michael

Hi, we are adding support for BSD11 in our March '17 update.

Hi Stephen,

thank you for your quick reply.

I just extended my subscription so that I am able to get that update. ;D

Please consider this case closed. Thanks a lot!

v6.4 is now available, and includes support for FreeBSD 11 as a target :) You can download 6.4 here: www.trilead.com/download/
