Adding a CPU to rp8420 npar
I have an RP8420 with 2 cells. I am assuming they are npars because I can use the command parstatus but not vparstatus. Cell 1 has a dual core CPU that is not active. I need to activate this. Below is a portion of parstatus. I have highlighted the cell in question. The more I research, the more confused I get.
My questions are as follows:
1. Can this be done with the system up? If so, I would reboot after anyway just to make sure everything looks ok.
2. Is this done from the system prompt or from the MP?
3. I found a command parmodify -p 1 -a cpu::1 Is this what i would use?
4. Is there any configuration required afterwards or should it be recognized automatically.
Any help is appreciated.
