Re: After rebooting hp-ux in vm guest, it is not starting os
looks like got problem with VM host primary disk. If the primary boot disk is OK, press Enter now and you should get HPUX prompt.
HPUX > boot vmunix -is
If this does not work, try to go EFI shell and list out available disks.
Shell> map
If the disk is spoilt, replace it and restore from make_tape_recovery.

Re: After rebooting hp-ux in vm guest, it is not starting os
You should first try to boot manually, from EFI Shell. With map "command" analyze storage. Any FS0, FS1, ... ? For each FSx, try :
FSx:
cd EFI
cd HPUX
HPUX
If you can boot like this, modify EFI boot menu from HP-UX with command "setboot -p ...."
If you can't boot manually, you should check your virtual disk from Host. What kind of virtual disk do you have ? Raw device, logical volume, file ? Depending on this, use standard commands to check availability. For example LVM commands like lvdisplay to check a LV virtual disk.
I must leave office. Will check this thread tomorrow.
Regards
Eric

Re: After rebooting hp-ux in vm guest, it is not starting os
What happened with boot disk in virtual machine, by mistake it is initialized from veritas command from host. I opened case with hp and veritas and worked with them and then knew this happened.
once again, Thanks to all of you to help me.
Thanks .. MJ
