DVD drive on rx3600 under HP-UX 11i V3 (11.31)


Anybody have any idea why there is no device listed in output of `ioscan -f` for the internal DVD drive on an rx3600 under Version 3 HP-UX? I have tried both DCOE and FOE, thinking maybe DCOE disabled the drive, but alas, it's not there in FOE either. Kinda hampers ability to load more software once the OS is loaded. Since it's not there in ioscan, the system does not build out a node in /dev/dsk either.

With 11.31 it looks like this, because it is USB using the devicefilesystem:

disk 7 0/0/2/1.0.16 UsbScsiAdaptor CLAIMED DEVICE USB SCSI Stack Adaptor
/dev/deviceFileSystem/Usb/MassStorage/dsk/disk@hp-1008+294=A60020000001
/dev/deviceFileSystem/Usb/MassStorage/rdsk/disk@hp-1008+294=A60020000001
