Enabling of HT on HPVM host machine [lcpu_attr]
Hi,
Whether we can enable HT on HPVM host where host is with HPUX11v3 and guest are HPUX11v2. Will there any issues in enabling HT [lcpu_attr=1] on the host server.
Also if we are enable HT on host, whether we can allocate the additional logical processors to guest machine as vCPUs or not?
Current Setup:
HPVM Version : B.04.30.00
Total number of CPU in host : 8
Number of Guest : 4
vCPUs: 2 /guest
CPU Entitlement : 10.0%,70.0%,10.0%,10.0%
P.S. This thread has been moved from Integrity Servers to HP-UX > virtualization - HP Forums Moderator

Re: Enabling of HT on HPVM host machine [lcpu_attr]
You must ensure Hyperthreading is disabled before implementing g HP Integrity Virtual Machines on an Integrity server.

Re: Enabling of HT on HPVM host machine [lcpu_attr]
Enabling HT on HPVM host won't give you any additional resources, it's also not supported to have HT enabled and HPVM installation disables HT via lcpu_attr=0.
