We received an integrity server rx2660 with HP-UX 11i v3 VSE preinstalled on system disk
( HPUX11i-VSE-OE ) .
After checking installed bundles , found that
( VSEMgmt, HP SIM, HP Virtual Machines ...)
are not installed.
My question is , can i proceed with virtualization , partitioning , guests, optimization , workloads , SRDs , policies ... without the above products .
Regards
Roger

HP Virtualization Manager
HP Integrity Virtual Machines Manager (VM Manager)
but still not yet the Integrity VM bits.
Hope this helps!

Re: HP-UX 11i v3 VSE OE
You can think in term of "HPVM ready" for HP-UX 11.31 update 2. Though you can only choose vPar option with the new VSE-OE bundle of HP-UX.
But for the moment HPVM, version 3.5, does NOT work on any 11.31 version.
The next version of HPVM, version 4, WILL work on 11.31. It is announced in September 2008.

Re: HP-UX 11i v3 VSE OE
Or i'm missing your point or I'm failing to understand the HP doc :-) could be because it is friday.
HP Virtual Server Environment Management for Integrity Version 4.0 Release Notes

Re: HP-UX 11i v3 VSE OE
The link you point refers to VSE Management. With VSE Management installed on HP-UX 11.31 box, you can manage hosts that have HPVM installed. But in this case the HPVM hosts you manage can not run HP-UX 11.31. I do agree with the fact that you can MANAGE HPVM, but not RUN HPVM on HP-UX 11.31.
