HP containers - Shared IP
Hi
I'm trying to create 2 'workload' containers that share the same IP/NIC. However when i go to create the second container it fails because the IP address is already in use.
there appears to be no way to create a workload container with specifying a IP and no way of specifying one already in use. Yet the docs indicate you can.
I want to:-
A) share the same IP between all containers and physical host.
OR
B) share the same IP between all containers.

Re: HP containers - Shared IP
I'm not sure how it would be possible to have independent containers share the same IP address, just as it would not be possible for virtual machines, vPars, or several hardware systems. There would be no way to figure which machine gets incoming packets. Now if what you are asking is how to share the same NIC, then try using IP address layering (multiple IPs on the same LAN card).
