Taking 3 nPars down to 1 large nPar

Does anyone have a document they use to do this procedure? I am going to be putting vPars on the system and need to get the original 3 nPars back into one partition and then I can slice it up. If someone has the steps for it, that would be a good help.

Locate

"nPartition Administrator's Guide, Second Edition"

from here

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=-1&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64255&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1844079

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Have a look at the Table 1-4 nPartition Commands Descriptions from the nPartition Administrator's Guide

Re: Taking 3 nPars down to 1 large nPar

The admin guide has all you need.

Basically you shutdown the 2 nPars you want to delete, use the nPar admin commands (or SMH) to delete the 2 nPars and add the resources to the remaining nPar. Do a reconfig reboot (shutdown -R) to make the new config valid.

Hope this helps!
