Vpar Migration
Hi Experts,
I need to perform a challenging task in my environment. Please provide your valuable input.
We are going to upgrade the HPUNIX 11iv2 to HPUNIX 11iv3 in npar / vpar environment. I have preformed this task in rx serious servers. But this is the first time I going to perform in npar /vpar environment.
Environment details.
[Partition]
Num Status Cells Chassis Core cell Partition Name (first 30 chars)
=== ============ ===== ======== ========== ===============================
0 Active 3 2 cab0,cell0 nPAR1 - 4 vPARs
1 Active 3 2 cab0,cell4 nPAR2 - 4 vPARs
2 Active 1 1 cab0,cell3 nPAR3 - 2 vPARs
#vparstatus -P
Current Virtual Partition Version: A.04.05
Monitor Version: A.04.05
As per my knowledge HPUNIX 11iv3 will not support vpar monitor version A.04.05, please let us know the best practice, precaution I need to take before going for upgrade.
Thanks in advance.
