Hi,
I am really tired by installing single patch with multiple dependancies. When i am trying to install any patch, it asks for another dependent hp patches. So manually i need resolve one by one, then again every single patch asks for some other patch dependancy.
Is there any way , which automatically resolve dependancy or any workout for this ?
I am trying to install below packages.
HostAVIOStor -> B.11.31.1103 HPVM Host AVIO Storage
HostAvioLan -> B.11.31.1103. HPVM Host AVIO LAN Softw
T2767CC -> B.04.30 Integrity VM
T8718AC -> B.04.30 Integrity VM Online Migr
VMGuestSW -> B.04.30 Integrity VM Guest Suppo
VMKernelSW -> B.04.20 Integrity VM Kernel So
thanks in advance.

SolutionI agree this can be confusing, and the patching process changes when you go to v6.X or higher because we no longer ship AVIO drivers on the Software Depot site. As of v6.1 all AVIO drivers ship as standard HP-UX patches.
Since you're wanting to use Integrity VM v4.3, my suggestion would be to review the list of recommended patches in the latest version of the release notes. The most recent v4.3 release notes document (May 2012) is here:
http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c03342169/c03342169.pdf
Sections 2.3 - 2.6 list the recommended patches for the VM Host and various VM guests.
I recommend starting with that list of patches and plugging them into the patch tool on the HP Support Center page and have it generate a list of current patches. That tool resolves patch dependencies automatically and can combine all the patches into a single downloadable bundle.
I'd then download the latest version of the following components from the Software Depot (http://software.hp.com) site:
- Integrity Virtual Server Manager: http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=VMMGR
- GUIDMgr - Globally Unique ID Manager (used in conjunction with NPIV storage): http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=GUIDMGR
- Latest AVIO Drivers for VM Host and VM Guest: http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=AVIO
The VMMGR and GUIDMgr features are optional.
Hope this helps,
Dave
