hpvmmigrate and returning back to source machine
I have what might appears to be a stupid question but I can't seem to find the answer.
I performed an offline migration of a VM running IVM 4.1 to a 6.2 host (hpvmmigrate -P VM -h tgt_host). The machine would not start on 6.2 because it only uses AVIO_STOR.
The problem is getting the machine BACK to the source host.
Is there an easy way to this? I had to peform the following (after much trial and error):
1 - hpvmremove on the target of the VM
2 - hpvmmodify -P VM -x register_status=enabled
Then I was able to start the machine on the source as it was previosly marked as NR.
Shouldn't I be able to swing the machine back with using another hpvmmigrate command?
Thx for any insight!
