iCap and icapstatus don't work. CPU migrate pending.
Hi !
I've a nPar with 5 vPars on which works iCap. Now one of the vPar take 6 CPU and don't want to release them. In vparstatus i see "6p".
vparstatus -v show that 4 CPU have "Migration pending" status and one sequence of "CPU deletion" is active. I can't stop this sequence .
In syslog i see that vpar trying to release CPU, but can't. There is an error:
"after retrying 500 times could not move all the cpus to destination"
iCap don't work at all. I even can't load a vPar with 1 CPU. That can i do? Reboot of the vPar and HP SIM server didn't help!
#vparstatus -v -p vPar01
Monitor assigned [Path]: 4.121 (migration pending)
4.124
4.125
6.122 (migration pending)
6.123 (migration pending)
#/usr/sbin/vparmodify -p vPar01 -m cpu::6
vparmodify: Error: One or more CPUs is in Pending state, cannot modify CPU configuration.
exit status 1

Re: iCap and icapstatus don't work. CPU migrate pending.
Recommendations from support:
1. Reboot the vPar to clear this condition. Didn't help. Now i got 4 CPU in migration pending state.
2. Disable the VAC layer - install PHKL_43775 and set /usr/sbin/kctune kmem_va_cache_enable=0 . Session hung up then i try to set parameter.
3. icapstatus don't work at all.
I need to change state of the CPU from "manage pending", but there is just one way to do this - reboot the nPar. Is there any other way ?
