parstatus -w shows as The local partition number is 0

For the below command we get the below output

>parstatus -w

The local partition number is 0

We want to see how the output will be displayed when there are multiple partions.

Is that local partition =0 means, it is the same physical server on which npar has intalled ?

Re: parstatus -w shows as The local partition number is 0

A n-par capable server has always a minimum of 1 nPar (the whole server or less, then with unallocated resources), hence you see partition 0.

Hope this helps!

Re: parstatus -w shows as The local partition number is 0

I have an rp7410 server that is partitioned into 2 nPars:

From Par 0:

atl5par0-11.31 root /root # parstatus -w
The local partition number is 0.

From Par 1:

atl5par1-11.31 root /root # parstatus -w
The local partition number is 1.

And here is output from 'parstatus -P' showing the partitions on this server:

atl5par1-11.31 root /root # parstatus -P

[Partition]
Par # of # of I/O
Num Status Cells Chassis Core cell Partition Name (first 30 chars)
