"Failed" entries in the /var/opt/hpvm/common/common.log

Good day,

Every hour, the following entry "06/16/15 08:44:41|20783|WARNING|host|root|Failed to find any device entry defined with SAN fabric name." is added to the common.log.

  # ps -ef | grep 20783 points to the WBEM cimprovagt

root 20783  2375  0  Jun  5  ?        24:53 /opt/wbem/lbin/cimprovagt 0 4 8 root VirtProviderModule

---------------------------

We have 6 VM hosts and all show the "failed" entry in the common.log. Should I be concerned? And how can I stop the message from coming?

Jacques

You can ignore the message, it seems it should not really be a warning.

All it means, is that no NPIV adapters with FABRIC flag were found on the system when

someone does WBEM query to virtprovider. It doesn't harm anything.
