MSR 20-40 Ethernet ports
I just purchased a new MSR20-40 with no additional modules. It has two 10/100 ethernet ports built-in, ports ethernet 0/0, and ethernet 0/1. I was hoping that I could use ethernet 0/0 for the internet side (comcast switch), and the ethernet 0/1 for the gateway to our firewall. No such luck, I configured a static route and still does not work.
I discovered in the web configuration that both ports will only show up as WAN ports, and I can not use either port for the LAN port. Does this mean I will have to shell out another $700 for an additional ethernet module, or is there a way to assign the ethernet 0/1 to be used as a LAN port?
Does anyone have any other workaround for this?
Thanks!!
