Hello,
I have an 1810G-24 with four trunks (LACP) created.
SNMP lists 29 interface (1-29) - how do these map to the 24+4 = 28 ports?
I.e. is port #1 interface #1? Or interface #2?
Is trunk #1 interface #25 or #26?
I can't seem to get this information via SNMP tools like I can on my 1800s.
Richard.

Solutiondd.dd.dd.dd (.1.3.6.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.2.6.dd.dd.dd.dd.dd.dd (dd....dd - switch's MAC address in decimal) you'll get in answer port number == 25.
.6 after canonical request and before MAC is specific "magic" constant for 1810G.
So: numbers from 1 to 24 represent the real ports 1-24, 25 - "internal" port where switch's MAC "lives", 26,27... - trunk1, trunk2...
For other HP Procurve, familiars to me, switch's MAC "lives" on port with number 0.

Re: 1810G-24 SNMP interface IDs
Do you know if there is a resource giving this information on the various ProCurve models, as it seems to vary widely (for example, the 1800G has i/f #1 as the MAC/IP port, i/f 101-124 as the physical ports 1-24)?
Richard.

No, I don't know such resources. I got this information empirically :)
