1920-16g switch config
I have a 1920-16g switch and I want to configure it for routing my network.
I have a plc with ethernet and I have a other network device.
My PLC ip address is:192.168.1.71 255.255.255.0
other device ip is: 192.168.100.100 255.255.0.0
and I dont have a gateway device. How I configure my hpe?

Re: 1920-16g switch config
Hi
First of all your client needs a gateway if you want to route between vlans.
And second, the 1920 switch is not a routing switch. The only thing it supports is static routes.
Kind regards

Re: 1920-16g switch config
For sure the 1920 is a routing switch, since it can route among VLANs and to static routes, whereas a layer 2 switch can only switch packets onto the .
If you hack yourself into the CLI.....you'll find as an undocumented feature both ripv2 and ospf routing protocols.

Re: 1920-16g switch config
@16again Like i said it only supports static routes. I'm pretty sure that ospf will not be possible on this type of switch, even in the CLI.
Kind regards

I'm also pretty sure....seeing is believing: (for the ospf commands, just look into H3C S-5500-SI_Manual_V1.03.pdf and try on 1920)

Re: 1920-16g switch config
tahank you for your interest, I solved the problem. It's working now and dont need a default gateway.
