1920-48G Poe VLAN and DHCP

Hi everyone,

First thanks in advance for your help.

Here my project and issue:

I need to replace one of my 2 2510G-48 by a 1920-48G PoE. Actually we have 2 Vlan in place.

- The default Vlan 1

- vlan 50 we use for our voip.

With my actual setup everything just work fine. But i have somes issues when i place the 1920.

I attach a image just to show you our actual harware setup.

On my first swith the 1920the port are configured in this way:

Port 1-2 are trunked Untaggaed 1  LinkType: Access  (Use to connect my DHCP server in the Teaming NIC)

Port 3 Untagged 1 LinkType: Access (Terminal server dont need the Vlan 50)

Port 4 Untagged 50 Link Type: Access (connect to the Voip Routeur DHCP for Vlan 50)

Port 5 - 44, 46,48 Untagged 1 Tagged 50 Link Type: Hybrid (Computer, voip phone, printer etc.)

Port 45-47 Untagged 1 Tagged 50 Link Type: Trunk (Link to my second switch)

My actual problem at this moment is everything get the IP address from the VLan 50 with the address 192.168.88.X.

Even if i connect my computer directly to a Hybrid Port i get a 192.16.88.X ip address.

I get some problem too from my trunk from port 1-2 to my server. My Teaming Nic get error on second card. Disconnected.

Someone have some idea for me.

Thanks again for your help

Re: 1920-48G Poe VLAN and DHCP

Why are you using hybrid ports?

Use trunk or access ports, and use one of many ways to tell the phones to use the voice lan. (hardcode, LLDP , CDP OUI...)

Hi,

Actually when we configure a port with untagged and tagged Vlan is automatically set to Hybrid Port.

The Phone are actually get the good IP on the right Vlan. They are all configure to Vlan 50 on internet port and Vlan 1 to Pc Port.

Its all my other device who dont use my Vlan 1 DHCP Server.

Just try setting port to trunk mode.  Indeed webgui automatically creates hybrid port when adding tagged VLAN. I'm still guessing what's the use of hybrid mode....

II already get 2 trunk.

1 to connect to my DHCP server Port 1 and 2.

And the other connect to my second switch port 45-47.

Re: 1920-48G Poe VLAN and DHCP

afaik, a trunk is a link type (access trunk hybrid)
Combining multiple ethernet ports into a bundle is BAG (BridgeAggregationGroup)

Just adjust link type of one of your access ports to trunk

Re: 1920-48G Poe VLAN and DHCP

A few questions:

1. Is the phone configured with VLAN50 as the Voice VLAN, and VLAN1 as the Data VLAN?

2. Do the switches have any IP addressing on the VLAN interfaces?

3. Is your Voice Router patched to port3 or port4? If it's patched to port3, then you've bridged the VLANs, which would explain VLAN1 devices getting VLAN50 DHCP.
