Are we saying there's something else to configure on the 1810's to make the backup connecction ?

The only thing you mast do is enable spanning tree in the ALL the switches (by default is disable) I.E:

switch_name# config (enter)
switch_name(config)#spanning_tree (enter)

Hi Pablo,

Thats where i'm getting stuck

I've done this on the 2824, but the 1810's do not have a telnet feature, you can only we manage these switchs, and in the web interface is only a LOOP PROTECTION mode. ?

This is why i am concerend plugging in the backup links ?

In no way - 1810G does not support STP.
