Hi All,
In my HP Procurve switch [HP V1810-48G, PK.1.33, eCos-2.0, CFE-3.8], The default IP is 192.168.2.10, so if I would like to use it as multiple network eg. iSCSI and multi subnet network, what is the best practice of configuring this switch to avoid problem and ensure best performance ?
Thanks,

SolutionPresumably you are not using the switch as a router, so the IP address you assign to it is only used for mnanaging the switch configuration.
Assign the switch an IP address within whichever subnet exists within your subnetting plan for device management.

Re: Default IP on Procurve Switch configuration best practice ?
Best practice is to avoid 192.168.0.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24 addresses for management in a large deployment with different equipment, as it may conflict with a variety other devices' default address (routers, modems, APs etc). I would recommend an address in the class 10.x.x.x for management (of course not 10.0.0.1 for the same reasons).
I hope this helps.
