HPE Office Connect 1950 12XGT 4SFP+ Switch (JH295A) firmware upgrade

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to upgrade two hpe 1950 12XGT 4SFP+ switches that are in IRF (stacked together).

I have the following concerns that I want to clear:

  1. Should the stacking be removed before upgrading i.e., upgrade them individually or continue with the current running configuration?
  2. What are the roll back steps if in case anything goes wrong during upgradation.

Current Software version: 7.1.070 Release 5103P03

Trying to upgrade to: Release 5106P06

Reference: OfficeConnect support - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (hpe.com)

Is this right page I'm referencing?

Hello,

No need to remove stacking.
You can plan downtime for manual upgrade.
Set new software into flash of both devices and reboot.
For rollback you can set backup image as current software into flash.
Thanks!
