HPE switch 1920s JL386A - too noisy - fan replacement or ...
Hello,
I have switch 1920S , model JL386A with POE. This switch is making noise about 45 dB. Is there a way to replace standard fan that is placed within switch with new one (extremely silent one)?
POE is mandatory so replacement of entire switch is not an option.
Maybe anyone have an better idea to mute this switch? I can only say that i cannot move this switch to another location (IT cabinet).
Regards,

Hello Magiel,
according to the specs noise is about 45 dB

You could search for a fanless model. I do not know if replacing a fan is an option, but this would affect the warrany of the device.

@DIYO Is on the market HP switch that supports POE technology and has not fan (0dB noise) and has similar specs like 1920s series ?

Hello Magiel,
there are 8 port PoE switches, all models could be found here:

Please choose "fanless" in the last column.
