Issue With VLAN & DHCP

HI,

  I have a DHCP server connected to the core switch, which is furthur connected to and access 3com POE switch.

Now if a connect a Display digital clock working on IP, it boots the clock and then the clocks freezes displaying DHCP. This happens when i use the vlan Id 110, with an ip say X. If i change the Vlan Id tp120, keeping the same ip X(i undo the vlan 110 first) the clock starts working(displays the time).

Now for testing this , instead of the clock i connected a laptop, and tried both the vlan i.e. 110 & 120, and the laptop recieved ip's and was pingable in the both the tests.

Any Idea where the issue starts?
