New to HP Switches 1910 8G POE - adding a default gateway to a different VLAN

Ports 1-8 are for my wifi and one port of these will be plugged into my firewall

Port 9 is the default vlan 1 without anything (removed the ip) - nothing plugged in

Port 10 is VLAN 100   10.10.1.12  it needs to see the core switch which is 10.10.1.1 - there is no default gw listed now

How do I add the gateway for VLAN100 to point at 10.10.1.1 as the default?

Under IP Routing it has 4 entries, 3 that involve loopbacks and the following

Dest 10.10.1.0 255.255.255.0 Nexthop 10.10.1.12 (vlan inteface 100)

Thoughts?

David.

I kept on digging and found an article about something similar - I can ping it now from my core...

Added a route 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 to go to 10.10.1.1 only on vlan 100

I think this did it?

You don't need any static route for connectivity between two devices in the same subnet.

If your intention is to have the Wifi VLAN and the VLAN100 routed differently then you would have to disable routing on this switch.
