Strange issue with 1810-48G thinks its an 1810-8
Hey all, I hope i've posted this in the right place!
I have an HP 1810-48G switch that has been in use before but has for a while now been sitting in a cupboard. I now have a requirement to use it and I logged in only to notice that it thinks its an 8 port switch.
So my assumption was that maybe it had been given an incorrect firmware upgrade in the past using a file for an 8 port version of the 1810 (i guess its possible right)
So I downloaded the correct firmware file (1.34) but it fails. I think its because the version is lower than the version currently installed (1.9)
Not sure how to get around it, does anyone have any ideas?
