V1910 ARP Table limit
We have reached the 256 table entries limit on our V1910 Switch. Maybe a solution is changing the arp aging time, but when haven't found any cli command or web interface menu to do that.
Is there any solution for this problem or firmware upgrade to extend the limit?
Is there a switch model with a higher limit?

Re: V1910 ARP Table limit
I am having the exact same problem. Did you find a solution in the end?
I did find out that if you enable telnet to the switch, you can then go into the cli and input _cmdline-mode which will take you into a mode with extra commands availabel in the cli. The password to enable this command is 512900, however I then tried to lower the arp time aging value from 20 minutes to 1 minute but my switches still have 256 addresses in the arp table and I get error messages saying arp table full.
Did you have another fix or maybe just upgrade to a different switch that has a larger arp table capacity. I have a support ticket open with HP but still waiting for advice on which switches have larger arp tables! :(

Re: V1910 ARP Table limit
The V1910 is a great switch which inherits almost all features of the H3C S5120-SI switch series. But it sadly does have that limit of 256 entries as you can see here:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/attachments/hpeb/switching-a-series-forum/4158/1/switches2011.xls
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/attachments/hpeb/switching-a-series-forum/4158/2/switches2012.xls
I do not know a way to raise it. Perhaps there will be a "Comware 7" upgrade to this switch which will increase that limit, perhaps it won´t (the swtich was first released in 2008, if I am correct). Ask your sales representative. Perhaps they can tell you if you sign NDA.
So basically, I´d suggest to buy a new switch. The next step would have been a "A5120-HI" (with dual PSU and 10Gbe uplink), but HP never released it (nobody could tell me why). It´s sad the all "lower" H3C switches have that strange ARP limits.

Re: V1910 ARP Table limit
Just disable disable gratuitous ARP packets learning function (Network -> ARP Management -> Gratuitous ARP) and delete dynamic ARP records.

Re: V1910 ARP Table limit
No cons if you dont use any L3 features.
