V1910 Inter-switch VLAN

We have linked 2 1910-48G switches using VLAN 1-3 tagging on both linked ports. (port 48 of each). We have created several untagged VLAN 2 access ports on each switch. We can ping between VLAN 2 ports on each respective switch, but we cannot ping between VLAN 2 ports on the opposite switch. VLAN 1 access ports work as expected between switches. (i.e., can ping "within" the switch and between same VLAN on opposite switch.  Since we aren't trying to communicate between different VLANs, we assume that no L3 routing is needed.

Are we missing something?

Can you show us what is the Port 48's configuration on both your two 1910-48G switches?

If that port's type - on both ends - was set as type "Trunk" (by the way it's not an Access port) and if VLANs 1, 2 and 3 (or: 1 to 3) were explicitly permitted, on both ends, to flow through that trunked port...then VLAN 1, 2 or 3 traffic between your two switches should be granted (provided that both sides - Switch 1 and Switch 2 - have correctly configured ports that you are now using for testing your inter-Switch intra-VLAN 1, 2 or 3 traffic).

We did resolve the issue with the help of HPE support as we had not previously used VLANs on this network.  We had created hybrid ports by simply tagging the additional VLANs going between switches, but that didn't work the way we expected.  Also, when we first tried linking with trunk ports, we failed to notice that the newly created trunk ports are "empty" until you actually add the VLAN tags that you want.  After correcting that, all seems to be good.
