hp 1810 vlans

Greetings;

I want to create 3 simple vlans on an 1810G 8 port switch. Port 8 goes directly to router.
Attached file sums up the one trunk & 2 vlans.
Vlan 1 works. Vlan 34 does not work at all.

One trunk on port 8.
Two vlans: 1 & 34

Vlan 1: port 1 Untagged, port 2 untagged,
port 7 untagged, port 8 tagged

Vlan 34: port 3 untagged, port 4 untagged,
port 8 tagged

Is the setup correct?

Thanks...

Re: hp 1810 vlans

Hi Owen,

basically this setup should be ok. Make sure that the router is also tagging both VLANs. Some router will not tag the native VLAN. This would cause a mismatch.

Cheers,
