simple QoS on 1920G
Hello,
I have two wired/wireless networks on the switch, one is the default/untagged vlan 1 and the other is one wired client and one wireless client forming another vlan 508 which I would like to give higher priority. The wired client is directly connected to port 1, and the AP wireless client connected is on port 3, and the AP tags the vlan information. The traffic I would like to give priority is mostly/always from wired client to wireless, so from port 1 to port 3. Is that enough if I set the port priority of port 1 to something higher and then set the queues on port 1 and 3 accordingly (either give weight or setup an SP) ? Do I need a classifier/behavior/policy and port policy assignment for QoS to work ?
Thanks.
Mete

Re: simple QoS on 1920G
Hi ,
Both the condition should work but as a best practice you can use QoS policy and apply to the respective vlan or port
I work for HPE
