Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems

FTP security

Hi,

I'm struggling to find a white paper related to how to setup a ftp environment. I mean restricted shell with chroot.

I found some bits and pieces related to anonymous but nothing regarding a common user ftp which stop users from navigating through the server.

Please could someone point me in the right direction or to the right document (if any available)

Many thanks
Miguel Ribeiro

Re: FTP security

Hi,

The security configuration for ftp can be done in ftpaccess file. For detailed procedures see the following link.

http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90685/ch02s08.html

See man ftpaccess here.
