What the way you install the AD in C: or D: is best, and why?

Hi,

I am successful using SmartStart CD 7.9 to install the Windows R2 on the ML350 G5.

And the HDD Partition for C: is 20GB.

On general, how about your AD install? On C: or D: (I mean the AD Database file and the Share SYSVOL)

And why?

Thank you.

It does not matter to Windows.
As long as there is sufficient space on C: or D: either option should be fine.

Generally it is recommended to put the paging file on a separate disk to improve performance. That can be done post-installation.

Selecting the default is a good rule. That ensures that 3.rd party software that _assumes_ the default will work OK.

Cheers,
Rune

Thank you,

I fininal install the AD in C: and move the page file to other partition on other disc that is faster.

Your suggestion is best.
