Re: Error code 00000050 on Windows 2003

Thanks for the link, checked it out, but i think, my server has a different symptom, I do not get this event id 1003 everytime i reboot the server,

Seems that the error comes intermittently, I found some link that tell me that mostly the 0x50 error is related to a faulty hardware or bug on the driver.

But the Insight Manager is not showing any sign of failed or degraded hardware.

Hi,
found this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895473/en-us
we had a similar problem long time ago, and it was that not all active services were configured properly.
If the link doesn't help, try first to disable all services the users shouldn't be allowed. then, test all active services from a client computer. May take a while, i know.

ciao, helge.
alles wird gut.

I've seen a similar error that happened whenever a particular user logged in--something was corrupt in his profile--MS support said it was the video driver--but deleting the users profile solved it. Can you correspond the time to a particular user login? Ours was used as a terminal server.

Will,
we have a different case, users can login and logout without a problem, did you installed SP1 lately, if yes, there is a known issue
