HP SUM Failing on Hardware Discovery

Hi all,

I'm having a problem when trying to run HP SUM on a server. When I try to run the setup.exe file I get as far as the hardware discovery just for the program to crash.

I have also tried running the hpsum_hwdiscovery.exe file but this crashes when trying to discover the storage devices. I am running DPM 2010 which has created many partitions on an array.

Has anyone had a problem running HP SUM on a DPM server before or does anyone know how to get around this?

Cheers

Re: HP SUM Failing on Hardware Discovery

Hi:

Have you tried this web page for ideas:  http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportResources.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=5182020

I assume DPM 2010 is a software program. What hardware are you trying to install SUM on?

Make a great day!
