Alarmdef Question
I have an application defined in my parm file "java". I have my required cpu threshold set...
Now I want generate alarms...
What syntax could I use in the alarmdef to generate alarms for "interesing" java processes using too much cpu.

Hi Paul,
have a look at /opt/perf/newconfig/alarmdefs. It contains several examples. There is also an example for monitoring backup processes which might apply to you.

All unix flavours are exactly the same . . . . . . . . . . for end users anyway.
