Adding a Hitachi 9585V (Thunder) to an HP XP12K Virtualized SAN
We're adding a couple of re-manufactured HDS Thunder arrays as external storage arrays to our XP12K.
I notice the ES/XP manual mentions total support of this array.
Any experiences with use of this array as an XP external storage array? I know both the HP and the Thunder arrays are Hitachi based so this combo would have the highest level of compatibility.
Also:
Is the HDS 9985 Thunder managed in-band (FC) like the EVA or is it mnaged IP-wise via its own SVP (internal processor)? Or is it simply IP connections to each of the 2 controllers?
Thanks!

Hi,
the following document for the xp12k/10k/200SVS lists the Hitachi 9500V subsystem external connection:

the pain is one part of the reality
