SAN Switch HAFM upgrade
I am trying to connect HP Storage Work EdgeSwitch 2/24 with XP24000. I have upgraded the firmware on the SAN switch to 09.08.01 but still I cannot see the WWN names of the XP24k ports on the switch port though I can see port status ONLINE.
I have tried setting XP port speed to 2GB from Auto but no positive result.
DO i need to upgrade HAFM as well. The present HAFM version is V07.01.00-09.
HP recommend to upgrade HAFM in their support Matrix, but how to upgrade HAFM, has anyone done it at site.
Thanks

Re: SAN Switch HAFM upgrade
You could telnet into the SAN switch directly and check from there.
Do a show port status. That gives you the perspecive of the switch dircectly. From there you can also check other switch vitals (speed, status, etc)
Also, make sure that you fix the XP24000 CHA ports to 2G as well. They are set to AutoNegotiate by default.
hth,
-Eric
