Driver packaging
I'd like to know why HP would even remotely think I had floppies in my building, much less in my office. I'd like to know why the drivers for a NIC need InstallShield to uncompress them.
All I need are NIC drivers for Windows 2000 for lp1000r's. I don't need 2 floppies full of unneccesary stuff!

Re: Driver packaging
I felt this was an appropriate place. It is not so much a driver issue as an issue of how HP packages drivers on an on-going basis. I feel HP would choose a standard, non-GUI-based, package for all drivers and software downloads for a particular platform. This packaging method would be as unintrusive as possible and not require the user to have additional, previously unmentioned resources available (such as floppy diskettes).
I feel this is a "general usage, feedback and help" issue.

Re: Driver packaging
Hi again Darrell,
I can understand why you want this post in the "general feedback" area... I have forwarded your suggestions to the driver folks. Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. I appreciate it.
