Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Kathy, I posted a reply to a user (http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x1b7e85079106d71190050090279cd0f9,00.html) and got some really weird spacing. What's up with that?

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Hi,

The reason for the funky spacing is that there was an "=" at the end of the URL you linked in that post. I have removed it (the "=") and now all is well!

Thanks for pointing it out and for your continued forum participation!

Lo siento! Now I remember that you mentioned that as a problem before!

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

I think it would be a great help if the Reply link took you to a page that displayed the entire thread, not just the original question. This isn't an insurmountable problem, but it does require that you open a spearate page in order to be able to respond point-by-point to a follow-up.

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Hi John,

Yes, I, too, am experiencing SSI and 404 errors. I have reported it to the technical team and they're working on fixing it!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Kathy

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Hi Kathy, I went to assist Renee at: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x45c750dde50cd71190050090279cd0f9,00.html and got 404 errors in submit process. I got thru but wow what an experience, i gotta believe that would frieghten inexperienced users and probably give hp a bad reputation in that they can't even manage a web construct - what about the product construct being even more sophisticated. Hope this helps you. Douglas William

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Hi,

To Douglas: Thanks for reporting the issue you experienced when trying to post. Apparently the forums were experiencing technical issues at the time you were using the forums; I hope all is well for you now.

To Da Larry:

As in the thread you mentioned above, there was an "=" at the end of the URL linked in one of the posts in this thread. I have fixed it and all is well! Thanks again for reporting it,

Kathy

Re: December forum issues/suggestions

Yo Kathy:

For some reason the Forum is very sluggish and unresponsive today??? Check out this thread: http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x17cb7680e012d71190050090279cd0f9,00.html

I kept clicking the submit button because after several minutes there was no apparent activity, but......?????

Hi Da Larry,

I'm sorry you experienced some forum technical issues over the recent holidays. I'll keep an eye on it and report anything necessary to the technical team. Also, I have "cleaned up" the thread you mentioned (deleted duplicate posts).

Thanks for notifying me!

Thanks for the effort in controlling offensive language and argumentative threads. The more of your intervention, the better...so far as I've seen.
