Doesn't work for me either

I've tried every browser I can get my hands on, and nothing works. I keep getting the same errors as above:

error '80004005'

/csn/csnfw/system/sys_shell_functions.asp, line 1512

I tried calling HP's support, and got nowhere. I need to renew my CarePack before it expires. If somebody has any info or help, please let me know.

Thanks!

Re: Doesn't work for me either (CarePack URL)

(It would be helpful if you had a more informative subject and a URL in your question.)

I assume you have seen this topic:

It says firefox fails but IE works.

Re: Doesn't work for me either

I was actually replying to that thread, and for some reason, a new thread was created.

Yes, it has to do with the HP Lookup tool. I've tried all browsers, including IE6, IE7, and IE8. None work.

I only get the above error in Firefox. IE just shows a blank page.

Way back when the problem was first reported, I had no problems with IE or IEtab in firefox.

Re: Doesn't work for me either (CarePack URL)

IE or IE tab still work. Strangely when I use IE tab I get this warning:
This site supports Internet Explorer browsers only. ...

(But you don't get there with firefox to even see it. :-)

Robert's link doesn't work:
http://www.hp.com/go/hpcarepack/activate

Hmm, I was able to get there to get that warning but now I can't??

Re: Doesn't work for me either (CarePack URL)

This link is now working in IE and Safari:
http://www.hp.com/go/hpcarepack/activate

(And firefox)

Hmm, not isn't with firefox 15: The page isn't redirecting properly

And if you use IE, you see: This site supports Internet Explorer browsers only
