Search function in The forums

This may be a ridiculous question. I have used forums before but I cannot for the life of me figure out why my forum searches do not produce any results. I am new to the HP forum and am looking for answers to questions about my IPAQ 2490. But when I enter the expression I am searching for I get zero responses every time, even when I know that there are posts with that expression in them.
Thanks for your help.

The forum search is currently broken. Use Google search.

Re: Search function in The forums

Given the good info on this site and the huge quantity of it, it's a real shame that the search function is pooched.

Is there an easy way to use Google to search only within this forum?

Open up Google and try this string:

Lutz & Julie,
dumb question:
What is the "+2940" good for?

Re: Search function in The forums

The "2490" is the search term(s) you wish to search on the itrc.hp.com website.

You could use any kind of search term in its place.

Thanks, Julie!
As you know, I can be pretty dumb (at times?)

No, not dumb at all. I only saw this tip from another user. Tried it out with several different search terms and works very well.
