"HPAsset" crashes when trying to use "Active Chat" on "HP Instant Support"

when trying to use Active Chat on the "HP Instant Support Professional Edition", I get a crash on HPAsset (computer asking me whether I want to send info to Microsoft about it), and then the nothng happens. I never get to the "Active Chat" pages.
I have a nx7010 with XP Professional, with all updates installed.

While attempting to use Active Chat, will you right click on "contact hp" so that it opens in a new window. Then "ask a question about using the IT resource center"

Then copy the web address of the failed chat window as well as any error you might see (not the "report to microsoft" error), include your browser type and version and a description of where it fails.

Report the error and someone can research the issue for you and get back with you.
