This is probably not the right place to ask this - but as it's the only place I can find to ask a question of HP, I will give it a go.
I am from the UK and I have noticed that over the past few weeks (maybe 4-5 weeks) that more and more Google search results that reference hp.com are failing and being redirect to store.hp.com/GermanyStore/Default.aspx - Yes the HP Store Deutschland.
Why is this. It is really annoying.
I accept that some cached links will go stale and the content get removed, but why send me to the German language site?
Please HP, can you sort this out?
Thanks

Re: What has happened to hp.com over the past few weeks?
Do you have an example search that's failing?

Re: What has happened to hp.com over the past few weeks?
Hi,
Todays example.
This google.co.uk search (https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hp+p2000+Document+Type+Definition+(DTD)&oq=hp+p2000+Document+Type+Definition+(DTD)&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i64.3452j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8#q=hp+p2000+Document+Type+Definition+(DTD)) for hp p2000 Document Type Definition (DTD) returns this as the first hit - http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Storage-Area-Networks-SAN-Small/Obtaining-the-DTD-for-a-P2000/m-p/5751373/highlight/true#M6588
but when I click the link I am taken to - http://store.hp.com/GermanyStore/Default.aspx?jumpid=af_r11638_de/de/any/pps/tradedoubler_ot_pu_ds_pd/td-generic/dt

I see that link too and when I click on that google link or click on yours, I go to the right EBC forum topic.
When I start with google.co.uk, it still works.
Where do you go when you click on:

Re: What has happened to hp.com over the past few weeks?
Hi Dennis,
When I click your link, I get the correct EBC page.
What browser are you using? I have tried Chrome and IE with dirrerent results.
IE works, but Chrome is where it gets weird.
If I click the link as soon as it appears in the google search results, I get the correct EBC page.
But if I wait until a small HP logo appears next to the link in the results (about a second) before clicking, I get the German Shop page.
I am in the UK if that helps.

How about your second link in message 3?

firefox 30.0. chrome also worked.

Solution#Awkwardmoment...
Eventually tracked this down to a Chrome Extension called "SmartVideo For YouTube™ 0.9930". It installed on all my machines (home and office) as I was logged into Chrome.
Weird that it only effected the HP website tho.
Thanks for your help.
