Juntos ERG: Reflecting on 2018

Juntos, our Hispanic/Latino ERG, had a successful 2018 focused on community impact, leadership, and fellowship. Some of the most prominent events included the Lideres Fellowship, Latina Emprendedora Conference, Hispanic Heritage Month, and the HITEC Leadership Summits.   

Lideres Fellowship event at the HPE Aruba HQ in May. The Lideres Youth Fellowship, a Yacanex initiative, is a 7-month after school course that introduces Latino students to tech, business, career exploration, and more. Our HPE event provided participants with a better sense of what it’s like to work for a leading tech company. Notable executives visited the group, including HPE Chief Legal Counsel, Willie Hernandez and Aruba’s President, Keerti Melkote. Click here to read the full article on their experience!

Lideres Youth Fellowship event at HPE Aruba HQ in May

Latina Emprendedora Conference was held at HPE Aruba HQ in October. Latina Emprendedora is an initiative that assists women entrepreneurs in strategizing to create/develop their own business or help their existing business grow. Click here to find out more about the event!

Hispanic Heritage Month photo booth

Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration was held in October at HPE headquarters in Palo Alto. We held a fireside chat with HPE’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Operations, Max Cuellar and hosted a panel of senior HPE leaders including Omar Duque, Raquel Tamez, and Val Rupp. See more pictures of the event here.

2018 HITEC Silicon Valley Leadership Summit

HITEC Leadership Summits. Juntos members attended leadership conferences sponsored by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) in Dallas, Seattle, and Silicon Valley. One of our members participated and graduated from the HITEC Emerging Executive Program (EEP) – congrats to him! Check out more of the pictures of the Summits here.
