Generative AI continues to see rapid transformation and growth, along with widespread industry adoption. Enterprises are hungry to harness the power of generative AI across their businesses to gain a competitive advantage and drive innovation. However, they are being met with challenges in how to make this a reality.

More than 80% of enterprises are experimenting with GenAI initiatives.[1]However, fewer than 1 in 10 AI projects get beyond pilot and into production, much less realize return on investment.[2]

What’s holding organizations back?

  1. Time to productivity: Enterprises are struggling to enable AI and IT Ops teams to successfully transition from AI pilots to production and provide business value from AI projects.
  2. Data privacy accessibility and control: AI environments can be complex to configure and operate, especially while ensuring accessibility to your data across data silos, data security and compliance with corporate governance and industry regulations.
  3. Rate of AI innovation and scalability: Enterprises are struggling to keep up with the rate at which AI is advancing.  It is nearly impossible to manage the continual stream of new foundation models, development tools and use cases. And AI and IT teams are met with the challenge of how to leverage it all.

This is why, in June, we announced a partnership with NVIDIA to bring to market NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE, a portfolio of co-developed AI solutions and joint go-to-market integrations that enable enterprises to accelerate the adoption of generative AI.  And today, we are excited that NVIDIA is expanding this portfolio with NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints, a catalog of pretrained, customizable AI workflows designed to equip millions of enterprise developers with a full suite of software for building and deploying generative AI applications. These will enhance our portfolio of co-developed solutions and help enterprises develop generative AI even more simply and more rapidly start realizing time to value.

Scaling generative AI adoption

NIM Agent Blueprints are reference AI workflows, pre-trained for specific use cases, that can be modified by any developer. They are the starting point for both information retrieval and complex workflows, with the ability to continually improve the AI pipeline by connecting it to the enterprise data flywheel. NIM Agent Blueprints include one or more AI agents  and reference code for constructing the workflow using the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, along with documentation on how to deploy it in your own environment and customize it with your own data.

With NIM Agent Blueprints, developers can accelerate the creation of their own applications using NVIDIA’s advanced AI tools and end-to-end development experience for canonical use cases such as customer service chatbots, retrieval-augmented generation and drug discovery screening.

The first NIM Agent Blueprints available are a digital human workflow for customer service, a virtual screening workflow for accelerated drug discovery, and a multimodal PDF data extraction workflow for enterprise retrieval-augmented generation that lets generative AI applications talk to business data for more accurate responses. Many more are coming.

Making AI easier—and more secure—with HPE Private Cloud AI

NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints represent a great opportunity for us to enhance HPE Private Cloud AI, a full-stack, turnkey private cloud for production generative AI. In the future, developers will have a way to jump-start creating AI applications that use one or more AI agents.  An AI agent is a program that can perform tasks autonomously and interact with its environment to achieve specific goals.

What makes HPE Private Cloud AI unique is that it provides an end-to-end AI software management platform that accelerates innovation and ROI, while keeping private data private and under the complete control of enterprise IT. The HPE GreenLake cloud, part of the Private Cloud AI solution, gives IT teams a single point of control across compute, cloud, networking, storage—and now AI. This gives teams powerful tools to experiment and operationalize AI as an integrated part of IT infrastructure. Plus, HPE Private Cloud AI can be deployed on premises in colos, at the edge or in data centers and helps enable instant AI productivity that comes ready to use out of the box—deployed in just three clicks.

Enterprises can take advantage of:

  1. Instant AI productivity
  2. Secure and unified data access
  3. Enterprise-grade confidence and control
  4. Flexible and evergreen cloud experience

The future of enterprise AI looks brighter than ever

NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE, and the NIM Agent Blueprints announced today by NVIDIA, are revolutionizing the way enterprises deploy AI applications. By addressing the key barriers to AI deployment and accelerating time to value, these solutions empower organizations to harness the full potential of AI to drive innovation. As enterprises continue to embrace AI, the importance of streamlined workflows and optimized, turnkey solutions cannot be overstated.

We are excited about our continued innovation with NVIDIA, so that we can enable enterprises to—more easily and more quickly—take advantage of all that generative AI has to offer. We are looking forward to sharing continued innovation to the portfolio coming soon!
