Introducing HPE Alletra Storage MP simplified brand architecture
Learn how HPE is simplifying our HPE Alletra Storage MP brand architecture to make it easier to choose the right solution for you.
โ By Caroline Seymour, Vice President, Hybrid Cloud Storage Marketing, HPE Storage
At HPE, weโre simplifying data management for our customers with one storage platform and one AI-driven cloud experience for block, file, and object workloads. For the last 18 months, we've been on a journey to unify multi-protocol storage services on a single disaggregated cloud managed architecture โ HPE Alletra Storage MP. To accelerate this โjourney to oneโ strategy, weโre announcing another step forward: the simplification of our HPE Alletra Storage MP brand architecture and naming strategy.
Effective today, we're changing the name of our HPE Alletra MP block-based storage offering from โHPE GreenLake for Block Storage built on HPE Alletra Storage MPโ to โHPE Alletra Storage MP B10000.โ The โBโ stands for block and the โ10000โ denotes that this is the next generation platform from our existing HPE Alletra 5000, 6000 and 9000 portfolio.
This alpha numeric naming construct aligns with the branding of our new HPE Alletra MP based fast object service โ HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 โ which we announced today at HPE Discover Barcelona.
Why are we making these product brand changes?
- We want to simplify the experience for our customers and partners, making it easier for you to confidently choose the right storage solution that best meets your needs.
- The new branding amplifies our vision to provide multi-protocol storage services on one common disaggregated platform, with one simplified AI-driven experience across hybrid cloud.
HPE Alletra Storage MP is a software-defined, multi-protocol storage architecture that provides flexibility and high performance for both structured and unstructured data storage needs. It consists of standardized, composable building blocks โ compute (node), capacity (JBOF), and switches โ that can be configured for different software-defined storage personas and use cases. This enables you to deploy block, file, or object storage services on common hardware and manage everything with a unified cloud experience through HPE GreenLake cloud, eliminating silos and complexity while improving TCO/ROI.
Weโre excited to share our refreshed naming and vision for HPE Alletra Storage MP with you. We hope you now have more insight into the evolution of the brand, and how a unified hybrid cloud storage platform can help you simplify operations and move faster.
