Secure your enterprise data: Protecting VMware VMs across hybrid cloud just got easier
Are you ready for a modern approach to backup and recovery – one where you don't have to choose between cost-effective operations and agile, scalable data protection?
So, has your organization been postponing modernizing data protection? Now could be the best time to make a move. Between the recent rise in cyberattacks and exponential data growth, protecting data has become job #1 for many IT organizations. An aging backup infrastructure only increases your vulnerability.
By taking a more modern approach, you don't have to choose between cost-effective operations and agile, scalable data protection. Our new data protection as-a-service offering now includes not just traditional backup and recovery but also:
- Higher-level data management capabilities that enable mobility while ensuring security and availability
- As-a-service delivery to maximize agility and improve economics
Defuse your data time bomb with HPE GreenLake
This recent article published in The Register explains how a modern data protection strategy can keep costs in line, help accelerate processes, and improve business outcomes. The article details how HPE GreenLake for data protection helps you eliminate data silos by removing multiple point solutions – while effortlessly protecting application workloads and neutralizing threats like ransomware in a cost-efficient approach.
Protect VMware VMs across hybrid cloud
Introduced last year, HPE Backup and Recovery Service is backup as a service designed for the hybrid cloud. The service simplifies how on-premises VMware virtual machines (VMs) running on any storage can be protected across hybrid cloud, bringing with it the cloud experience and flexibility of software delivered as a service.
As the volume of VMware data continues to grow, protecting that data at scale will only become more challenging. Data protection in a VMware environment involves protecting large collections of VMs. Most of the time, these large collections of VMs needs similar protection SLAs It is a tedious job for an administrator to apply protection and monitor jobs for virtual machines individually. HPE Backup and Recovery Service makes it easy to protect at scale by organizing virtual machines into protection groups. These protection groups enable the user to apply protection for multiple VMs or datastores in a single operation to automate the protection of VMs.
This cloud-native service eliminates complexity and frees you from the day-to-day hassles of backup infrastructure. There are no media servers, catalogue servers, gateways servers, proxy servers, backup targets, or cloud storge accounts to separately manage.
