That’s a wrap! Highlights from VeeamON
We had a great couple of days in Chicago for VeeamON! Catch the highlights from HPE and Veeam here. (And if you weren’t able to join us last week, catch up now with great videos and blogs.)
It was a busy show for the more than 2000 attendees at VeeamON this year, where Veeam unveiled its vision for the Hyper-Available Enterprise and its strategy to provide a comprehensive platform for intelligent data management at massive scale.
It was also a busy show for HPE and its staffers! The team delivered 17 in-booth theatre presentations, with record numbers of attendees turning up to listen to a range of topics including information on our new HPE Nimble Storage Adaptive Flash Array, Cloud-Ready enablement, HPE data storage strategy and leadership—and how to optimize your investment and improve ROI with HPE Pointnext advisory and professional services for Veeam.
Podcast from VeeamON: mitigating ransomware risk
Our resident HPE Storage blogger @Calvin Zito recorded a podcast with Andrew Dickerson on the hot topic of ransomware. Andrew gave some great tips for how to mitigate risk.
Listen to the podcast now (or right click and save the file for later). To subscribe to the podcast, open this link and click on the "View in iTunes" button under Calvin’s picture. If you don't use iTunes, you can find the podcast on TalkShoe.com and it has just been added to Google Play Music as well.
On the show floor...
When the theatre session presentations ended, we engaged in countless conversations with attendees, sharing our joint HPE and Veeam Storage Solutions smart enough to bridge the app-data gap through the use of live demos and hardware on display.
Additional breakout sessions were also on offer for attendees to learn more about how to reduce operating costs by 48% and receive a 262% ROI when using HPE and Veeam Software, and in another session find out more about the new HPE Nimble Adaptive Flash Array and Veeam Software.
Attendees learned how to do Instantaneous restores, verified backups, super-fast synthetic full backups. And they walked away with tips and tricks on how backup from Nimble Storage snapshots on primary or secondary arrays reduces the impact from data protection activities on production workloads.
Not at VeeamON? No worries. Catch up here.
If you weren’t able to attend this year, catch up on some other notable moments from the show by watching The CUBE interviews with Bill Philbin, SVP, Global Chief Technology Officer, Hybrid IT, HPE, and Patrick Osborne (VP & GM Big Data and Secondary Storage at HPEby clicking on the links below.
If you have a little more time, watch the opening keynote and Bill Philbin’s presentation.
You can also get up to speed on the hot HPE and Veeam topics by checking out VeeamON blog series. Take a moment to read some insightful blogs from the rest of the team or catch up on news and replays on the HPE and VeeamON event page.
