Hi,
I've two Alletra 5010 and I want to enable bidireccional replication with both storages. I've only found that the replication uses the management network. But I've the doubt because the management interfaces are 1GB. Where I can find the requirements to replicate with Alletra 5010?
Regards

Re: Alletra 5000 replication
It depends on how often you want to copy delta snapshots from one array to the other, and how big those snapshots are. You may be fine with, for example, daily snapshots replicating over the 1Gb link. Additional questions would be how far apart the two systems are, and what the bandwidth is between them.
Note the Alletra 5K built-in management ports auto-negotiate between 1Gb and 10Gb.

Re: Alletra 5000 replication
Thank you @Sheldon Smith, the distance is 94km. So I understand that I don't need any additional to replicate between them and it's asynchronus based on snapshots. Am I right?

SolutionCorrect. After you've set up the two systems as Partners, you will create a Volume Collection on each side. I suggest naming them something like "vc-{from}-{to}". For example, a partner system in Denver would have the collectionvc-Denver-Chicago and a partner in Chicago would have vc-Chicago-Denver.
For the replication schedule, I suggest starting with once-a-day ("ReplDaily") to get the initial volumes transferred. Once those are complete, you can look at the times of the subsequent snapshots to get an idea of how long it takes to transfer the deltas on average. Add a second schedule ("Repl") with a more frequent schedule based on the delta transfer times.
Depending on the site-to-site link, when creating the partners you can add throttling schedules so the snapshot transfers don't take the entire site-to-site bandwidth. At least during the busy time of day.
