2810-48Gs - packet drops

I am experiencing an issue with packets being dropped between a tagged port on two switches. My condensed topology is basically a triagle:
Cisco 4503 -> tagged/trunk -> HP 2810-48G
-> tagged/trunk HP to HP
-> tagged/trunk -> HP 2810-48G

The Cisco in this case is running PVST+ and I've got MSTP configured on the HP's (I will be moving the Cisco to MSTP once I can get some downtime to upgrade the IOS). I've got the spanning-tree topology configured with the uplink between the 2810s as forwarding and one uplink from the 4503 is the blocked port. With this topology I've got intermittent issues with communication between the two 2810's. I've included the port stats for each port on each side of this uplink. When I perform an extended ping from a host on one 2810 to a host on the other 2810 I'll get about 7% packet loss, enough to disrupt my users. I've got 7 other 2810's deployed throughout my organization that are utilized much more than these and I don't experience any kind of issues. I recently disabled the uplink between the 2810's and am now running all traffic through the 4503 when one side needs to communicate to the other and I get no packet loss. At most the link between the 2810s was .5% and the most processor utilization that I've seen is 11%. I'm using 11.06:

Re: 2810-48Gs - packet drops

I believe my problem is that I have a loop in the network even though I am running spanning-tree. I am attempting to integrate mst with pvst+ from Cisco and I don't think it's working too well. I'll create a new thread.
