Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
Hi,
I am looking for a solution to forward two of my Vlan 200 192.168.20.0/24 ,VLAN 300 192.168.30.0/24 to second gateway. I have got two 2920POE Switches on first floor and One 2530 POE I have enabled IP routing on my core 2920 switch 2920 and CISCO ASA is the gateway on this switch. I introduced another HP2920 POE on the second floor and connected to first floor 2920 switch trunk ports and there is no IP routing enabled on this switch. I have Another Cisco ASA connected going on the internet conneted to this switch. I have created another VLAN on second floor switch VLAN 600 192.168.60.0/24 and wanted it to use Second floor CISCO ASA. Is there any other way I could achieve this solution. I have checked this link but not sure if it applies to me?

Could you please let me know the best scenario for me?
Thanks,

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
This might be a lot easier if you had a diagram.
Is there some reason you can't simply put the gateway address within the VLAN600 subnet on the 2nd floor ASA?

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
source based routing requires PBR (policy based routing) which (afaik) 2920 can't do. You need higher end switches for this

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
Please see the diagram. I only want to allow VLAN Vlan 200 192.168.20.0/24 ,VLAN 300 192.168.30.0/24 traffic to First Floor gateway. There is no ip routing enable on first floor switch.

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
So you can't just put the default gateway addresses for VLAN200 & VLAN300 on the first floor ASA?
Why have you extended VLANs 200 & 300 to the other switches?

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
So you have two router, one "First Floor" and one called "Ground Floor".
Lets say First Floor has the VLAN interfaces 200: 192.168.20.1 ; 300: 192.168.30.1
and Ground Floor has VLAN 100: 192.168.100.1
When you set the default gateway of your clients in VLAN 100 to 192.168.100.1, they will only use this router. When you set the default gateway of the clients in VLAN 200 to 192.168.20.1, they will use the router First Floor.

Re: Multiple Gateway on HP Procurve Switch
What happens if there is a default route for a different ASA? We still can't filter the traffic on the basis of VLAN id?
